Wood batas are double-headed drums used in three complementary sizes: the small okonkolo, medium itotele, and large iya. Each size occupies a different role within a coordinated bata group.
Size and ensemble role are the main buying factors when adding one drum or assembling a complete group. Consider the drum already owned, the part being played, and the need for a matched set.
