Bar chimes create shimmering sweeps and metallic accents for percussion, concert, studio, and sound-effect work. Formats range from compact handheld instruments to mounted single-row, double-row, and whole-tone designs.
Bar count, tuning pattern, row layout, overall width, and sustain affect the sound and playing space required. Consider mounting needs and portability when choosing between smaller accent instruments and broader concert voices.
