Description
A variation of the award-winning DW Edge® snare drum (U.S. Patent #5377576), the DW Top Edge™ is designed to offer a bit more "woodsy" warmth thanks hybrid predecessor. The solid brass top ring is cast and machined in California to exacting specifications, then precisely pressfit onto any available DW Custom Shop wood species—each wood type providing varying tonal characteristics. Grain orientation technology can also be employed to influence sound. Choose from X, VLT, HVLT or other veneer lay-ups to further customize sound, response and resonance.
