The 6.5" x 14" Aluminum Snare Drum from DW features a tiny 1mm rolled shell.  This shell construction provides this drum with a resonant tone with considerably more overtones than other metal drums with a thicker shell. The 'workhorse' style snare wires make this drum perfect for practically any genre of music and is finish in a nice matte grey powder coat so it will compliment any drum set nicely.
