This cajon also features a Baltic Birch front-plate which delivers a warm, sharp sound and quick response.  Birch has long been revered by musicians and drum builders alike for it's warm, punchy, and articulate sound.  It is these very same characteristics that help make it an ideal front-plate, as it is able to perfectly mimic and capture the sound of a snare. 

Speaking of snares, this cajon also features a set of fixed internal snares which deliver a clean, crisp buzz.
