Ludwig Supraphonic 6.5”x14” Snare Drum w/ Tube Lugs – Chrome Over Aluminum (LM402T)

The Ludwig Supraphonic LM402T 6.5”x14” Snare Drum combines one of the most recorded snare drum designs in history with the classic elegance of tube lugs. Built around Ludwig’s legendary seamless chrome-over-aluminum shell, the LM402T delivers the unmistakable balance of sensitivity, projection, and tonal versatility that has made the Supraphonic a studio and stage favorite for generations. From articulate ghost notes and crisp rimshots to thunderous backbeats, this drum responds effortlessly across a wide dynamic range.

The seamless aluminum shell produces a warm, controlled attack with excellent projection and reduced unwanted overtones compared to many steel alternatives. The deeper 6.5” shell adds additional body, low-end punch, and power while maintaining the legendary responsiveness that made the Supraphonic famous. Outfitted with elegant tube lugs, the LM402T offers a vintage-inspired aesthetic while allowing maximum shell resonance and a distinctive visual presence. Triple-flanged hoops, Ludwig’s smooth-operating strainer system, and precision craftsmanship complete a snare drum that performs equally well in the studio, on stage, or in any musical setting. Whether you’re playing rock, jazz, funk, country, or session work, the Ludwig LM402T remains one of the most versatile and respected snare drums ever produced. Available now at CymbalFusion.
