Each dual-layer Makha stave is precision-channeled and joined together using an internal tongue-and-groove stave of premium Thai Oak. Like pieces of an intricate acoustic puzzle, this fusion increases total shell structural integrity by 50%. The shell is then lathed to a perfectly round cylinder, allowing the drum to act as one solid, unyielding piece of tonewood with zero lost energy.
