Rock Lock Model 53 Lug Locks (Standard Tension Rods)
Keep your drums in tune and performance-ready with the Rock Lock Model 53, designed to fit standard tension rodsand prevent loosening caused by vibration during playing and transport. Rock Locks install quickly and securely, helping maintain consistent tuning so you can focus on performance instead of constant adjustments.
Drums such as Gretsch USA Custom, Pearl Reference, Craviotto, Noble & Cooley, and DW Collector’s Seriesoften use larger stainless steel tension rods. While these rods are tighter to fit, the Model 53 will still work.
To install:

Align the tension rod with one of the squares inside the 12-point star.

Gently wiggle the Rock Lock into place.
