 The Vic Firth Corpsmaster Signature - Ralph Hardimon Nylon drumstick has a unique barrel tip for quick rebound and added control. It's widely used as snare drum sticks in modern marching activities. 

Ralph Hardimon is best known his work in marching percussion, rudimental drumming, marching band, and drum and bugle corps. He became the Director of Percussion for the Santa Clara Vanguard in 1981 to 1990 where the SCV won four High Percussion awards and three DCI World Championships.
