Description
The Yamaha EAD20 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module makes it easier to capture, enhance, record, and share an acoustic drum kit. Its stereo condenser microphone and trigger pickup combine the core tools of a traditional multi-mic setup in one streamlined package, while Yamaha's SWX100 sound engine delivers detailed, professional-quality sound for practice, performance, recording, and content creation.
Four additional splittable trigger inputs support up to nine total triggers, and the 8-in/10-out USB audio interface provides flexible routing for studio and stage use. Assignable Kit Modifier knobs and LED rotary controls put gain, reverb, effects, and other settings within quick reach, while the free EAD Touch app provides another convenient way to edit and manage the module.
Built-in looper, sampler, recording, and playback functions open new creative possibilities. The EAD20 includes 251 scenes (51 presets and 200 user kits), 2,203 voices, and 252 digital effects. Yamaha's Rec'n'Share app also makes it easy to play along with tracks, shoot and edit videos, and share drum performances from a compatible iOS or Android device.
The included sensor unit mounts to virtually any acoustic bass drum hoop and captures a high-quality stereo image of the full kit. Its dedicated kick trigger converts each bass drum strike into a precise trigger signal, allowing samples to be layered in sync with acoustic playing.
