Description
The Soul of the "Old K" Sound
The Zildjian 20" K Constantinople Renaissance Ride is where heritage meets modern precision. Developed in collaboration with jazz legend Adam Nussbaum, this ride is a versatile masterpiece designed for drummers who demand a cymbal that speaks with a dark, sophisticated "trashiness" and a shimmering wash.
Craftsmanship & Character
Unlike mass-produced cymbals, the Renaissance Ride features unique over-hammering that adds complex overtones and a slightly more controlled decay. The result is a cymbal that feels "broken-in" from the very first strike. It’s thin enough to crash beautifully, yet retains enough stick definition to drive a piano trio through a late-night set.
Key Features:
-
Signature Hammering: Extra over-hammering creates a dark, "played-in" sound with a complex musical profile.
-
Versatile Weight: Thin enough for a lush, dark crash, but articulate enough for intricate stick work.
-
Low-Profile Bell: A smaller, smoother bell integration provides a more integrated, organic sound.
-
Traditional Finish: Hand-lathed for that classic look and buttery feel.
-
Sonic Identity: Dark, warm, and low-pitched with a medium-thin sustain.
